Measuring Mental and Emotional Health

Psychological Well-Being Assessment

Assessing psychological well-being is essential for fostering self-awareness, personal growth, and emotional resilience. A well-structured assessment can help identify patterns in your self-relationship, highlighting areas of negative self-treatment and clarifying therapeutic goals, ensuring a more personalised and effective approach to mental health support.

The Self-Relationship and Negative Self-Treatment Screening (SRQ/NTS) explores how you relate to yourself, highlighting strengths and potential areas for growth. By assessing your self-perception and recognising patterns of self-criticism or neglect, this screening provides valuable insights to support positive change.

The Personalised Therapeutic Goals Questionnaire (PTGQ) helps tailor therapy to your specific concerns, ensuring that your unique challenges and priorities shape your therapeutic journey. By tracking progress over time, the PTGQ keeps therapy aligned with your evolving needs.

Regular measures of Psychological Well-Being (PWB) provide an ongoing framework for monitoring emotional and mental health. By assessing factors such as anxiety, resilience, and overall well-being, these tools help ensure therapy remains dynamic, responsive, and beneficial.

Through these comprehensive assessments, you can gain deeper self-understanding, track your progress, and work towards a healthier, more compassionate relationship with yourself.

Assessment Fees (In-Person or Online):

  • SRQ/NTS (includes 60-min session and subsequent report): £300

  • PTGQ (includes 60-min session and creation of your personalised measurement tool): £225

  • PWB (includes 90-min session, creation of your PTGQ measurement tool, and subsequent report): £300

  • Your self-relationship shapes how you think, feel, and behave towards yourself, influencing your attitudes, beliefs, and overall well-being. As a dynamic and evolving aspect of human experience, it plays a crucial role in your personal growth, emotional resilience, and self-acceptance.

The Self-Relationship Questionnaire (SRQ) is a valuable tool for assessing the quality of this relationship. Meeting rigorous psychometric standards, it provides a structured way for you to explore your current thoughts, feelings, and behaviours towards yourself. By fostering self-reflection and enhancing self-awareness, the SRQ supports you in developing a healthier, more compassionate self-relationship.

Equally important is recognising patterns of negative treatment of self (NTS), which can undermine your well-being and personal development. Negative self-treatment screening helps identify behaviours and attitudes linked to self-criticism, self-neglect, and other harmful patterns, offering crucial insights into areas that may need therapeutic attention.

By highlighting these patterns, NTS screening helps you understand the barriers to self-compassion and emotional healing. This awareness is key to fostering positive change, allowing you to challenge unhelpful self-perceptions and cultivate a more balanced and nurturing relationship with yourself.

  • The Personalised Therapeutic Goals Questionnaire (PTGQ)is a tailored assessment tool designed to help you identify, articulate, and measure your specific concerns in therapy. Unlike standardised assessments, the PTGQ captures the challenges you face in your own words, ensuring that your unique experiences and priorities are at the heart of the therapeutic process.

By allowing you to clearly define and express the issues you want to address, the PTGQ helps you differentiate between concerns, prioritise them based on their significance, and rank them according to urgency. This structured approach not only clarifies your therapeutic goals but also provides a measurable framework for tracking your progress over time.

Your initial PTGQ responses establish a baseline, enabling you and your therapist to monitor changes and improvements throughout your therapy journey. By regularly revisiting and reassessing your goals, you can see tangible evidence of your progress, helping to reinforce motivation and ensure that therapy remains aligned with your evolving needs.

With this comprehensive and personalised approach, the PTGQ empowers you to take an active role in your therapeutic journey—enhancing self-awareness, fostering meaningful change, and ultimately supporting your long-term well-being.

  • Monitoring your psychological well-being (PWB) is an essential part of therapy, ensuring that the process is truly beneficial and aligned with your personal needs. Well-designed psychological assessment tools provide valuable insights into your emotional, mental, and relational health, offering you and your therapist a structured way to measure progress over time.

By identifying changes in your well-being, these tools help evaluate the effectiveness of therapy, highlighting areas of improvement as well as aspects that may require further attention. This ongoing assessment ensures that therapy remains dynamic, responsive, and tailored to your evolving needs, helping to refine your therapeutic goals and maximise its positive impact.

Whether you are engaging in therapy for personal growth or participating in research, these assessments offer a reliable means of evaluating key concerns such as anxiety, depression, emotional resilience, and the quality of your self-relationship. By regularly tracking these aspects, you gain a clearer understanding of your progress, reinforcing motivation and ensuring therapy continues to support your long-term psychological well-being.
